I began my drug use at the age of 8. Methamphetamine took over at 13. I had both of my sons by the time I was 18. My life spiraled out of control to the point where I was homeless, and strung out on heroin. I lost everything to the evil grip of addiction. I even had an overdose that resulted in my heart stopping for 8 minutes.

 

I was desperate. I heard my favorite football player Russell Wilson talk about Jesus and his relationship with Him. I knew I needed something different. I found Shalom from a family member and so I made my way from Washington to Arkansas. I went through 2 weeks at Shalom and decided I wanted more of the world. I made it two weeks on the streets in absolute misery and the police stopped me. I was about to go use a lethal amount of morphine.

 

The Lord spoke to me and told me that if I didn't tell the police that I had drugs on me that I would die and go to hell. He was faithful to pursue me. I went to jail facing felony charges and I ended up in Teen Challenge for 4.5 months and then I went back to Shalom. I had made a transformation and came back willing and ready to serve. I graduated Shalom in 2016 and I have had my whole life restored! My sons were restored to me and we all serve Jesus faithfully! God gave us back so much more than we ever had! Just like He promises to do!

My God has heard me! I have victory in Jesus! I am a second-year seminary student. I work for my Bible College as well. I have a vision of becoming a professor one day. I am also an evangelist who will share her story anywhere anytime! Grocery store, rehab, or West Virginia, I will go anywhere to share the good news! Jesus saves!
